Curating social-ready assets…

Did you know just a couple of degrees on your air con can make a huge difference to your power bill?
Most Aussies set their split system way colder in summer (or hotter in winter) than needed—and that’s money straight down the drain.

The Numbers:

  • Each degree colder in summer adds up to 10% to your cooling bill.
  • Set your air con at 24°C–26°C in summer, or 19°C–21°C in winter, and you’ll save around $80–$150 a year compared to “crank it” mode.

Quick Wins:

  • Use “eco” or “energy saver” mode—modern units do the thinking for you.
  • Keep doors and windows shut for max efficiency.
  • Clean your filters at the start of every season (dirty filters can bump up running costs by 5–10%).

Spot the drainer:

  • Air con feels weak or struggles to keep up?
  • Filters dusty, or haven’t been cleaned since last summer?
  • Using a remote with no idea what the settings do? (We’ve all been there!)

If any of these sound familiar, you’re spending extra for no extra comfort.
