Curating social-ready assets…

Exciting news! The ACT is pushing even further ahead in Australia’s race to electrify, thanks to a new deal between the federal government and the ACT. This agreement will turbocharge the electrification of homes, businesses, and vehicles in the capital, with lessons learned set to be shared with the rest of the country.

Under the Renewable Energy Transformation Agreement (RETA), Canberra aims to phase out fossil fuels completely. Some highlights include accelerating vehicle-to-grid technologies, electrifying public and low-income housing, and improving building energy efficiency. With ACT already running on 100% renewable electricity, they’re now focusing on making homes gas-free by 2045, testing cutting-edge tech, and ensuring a just transition.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen called it a win not just for the ACT but for all of Australia as the capital’s innovations help shape the nation’s clean energy future.
